Trying Something New

I’m trying something new with the comic. I’m not sure how long I’ll do it, but basically I’m making fun of classic works of art. Take that people with more talent than me!

Robotic Vacuum

It was probably over 10 years ago that Robotic vacuums started being super cool or super dumb. I’m not sure which. Either way, they got popular and I’ve been too poor to buy one until now. Last night started my adventure in following it around and seeing how a robot does the job I do in less time, without electricity, and better. On the other hand, it still does it way better than my girlfriend who I’m pretty sure has never vacuumed since I moved in. It doesn’t help that when it beeps she yells for me to go check on the baby. Way to perpetuate gender stereotypes, claiming robots are men’s work.

I’m getting attached. We’ve named it Derpy and it always makes a B-line for the bedroom when it leaves the dock. That’s something I admire in a robot. You still have to double check its work with a broom and get the spots it missed or are too bad for a tiny, novelty robot. Just like a real child trying to do chores in a half-assed manner only less likely to revolt and overthrow mankind.

Kill Bill

Kill Bill was on Basic Cable. The editing was pretty intense to make it view-able for cable audiences. It’s like someone spent all night with a mop trying to clear out all the blood so we didn’t have to watch it. Also, some other weird things happened that I can’t explain.

Dark Age of Camelot

Today I learned some concerning things. Like Dark Age of Camelot is STILL running. There have been people who’ve been paying subscription fees for 16 years! They’re doing an anniversary event this October. They’ve updated their website and everything! I’m feeling urges. Unnatural urges. Though reactivating your account from 2004 may run into some problems. Like losing the CD key or the email address you registered with. That’s correct, Dark Age of Camelot outlasted hotmail.

Did games even make you register with an email address back then? Was email a thing everyone was expected to have yet?

Blocking Ads

I’m expanding the number of blocked ads on the site. A lot of religious and political ads seem to be appearing which I’m not a fan of.

I’m tempted to start blocking the gaming sites, mostly because that fidget spinner ad is annoying me like crazy.
